Get to Know Officer Slevin
"I was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and relocated to South Dakota after my father retired from the U.S. Navy. I graduated from a South Dakota high school in 2006 and then joined the United States Army. I completed two tours in Iraq in 2008 and 2009. After being honorably discharged, I used the GI Bill to earn an associate degree in Criminal Justice.
I began my law enforcement career in 2013 and graduated from the police academy in Pierre, South Dakota, in 2014. I am married with four children—two of whom have chosen to follow in my footsteps by joining the military. I’ve now worked in law enforcement for over 11 years and started serving the community of Lennox in June 2024."
