Stacy DuChene is the Mayor of Lennox. Council members include Sam Bowers (President), Chad Swier (Vice-President) Billy Welch, Bill Daugherty, Britney Mower, and Chad Reilly.

Below you can see information concerning term expiration, committee responsibilities and contact numbers. Voting wards are divided as follows (see map below for more information):

Ward One: portion of the incorporated city limits east of a line passing along the center of Main Street. North to Rummel Street then East to Cherry Street and then North to City limits.

Ward Two: portion of incorporated city limits west of a line passing along the center of Main Street and south of a line passing along the center of Third Ave and to exclude the North half of the blocks between Juniper Street and Elm Street.

Ward Three: portion of incorporated city limits west of a line passing along the center of Main Street and north of a line passing along the center of Third Ave. and to include the North half of the blocks between Juniper Street and Elm Street and blocks N of Rummel Street between Main Street and Cherry Street

Hello! It is my privilege to serve as Mayor for our growing City of Lennox. There are countless community members who have lent their time and expertise to further the progress of Lennox, and I want to thank all of those folks who are vital to the success of our City.

I grew up in Lennox and graduated from Lennox High School. I then went on to receive a BS in Architecture from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and then a BS in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University. I currently hold a Professional Engineer License and work for the South Dakota Department of Transportation. My husband, Justin, and I moved back to Lennox in 2002 and have lived here ever since (except for a one year stint in Pierre). We have three children (Madeline, Thomas and Violet) who keep us pretty busy with school and other activities.

As Mayor, my goal is to keep the upward momentum of Lennox moving forward based on solid choices. As a Council, our priority is to make good fiscal decisions with the future of the betterment of our community in mind. We have challenges to overcome with our existing aging infrastructure. While it would be nice to be able to improve all of the known issues right away, our budget does not allow it. We must weigh the pros and cons of each project and develop a plan on how to move forward through the next 5, 10, 15 years and beyond to address each and every deficiency. This is no easy task…we will need the support of all of the citizens as these difficult decisions are made.

Britney Mower

Britney Mower was first elected to the Lennox City Council in 2021, and is currently serving in her second term. Her goal as a member of the Council is to work with the citizens of Lennox to continue forward progress on improving the community.

Britney is originally from Ipswich, SD and has called Lennox home for 13 years with her husband Matt, and three children (Cael 14, Callie 11, and Ella 7). Britney serves as an Administrator in Higher Education as Dean of Curriculum and Instruction. She holds a Doctorate in Healthcare Leadership, and is a licensed Registered Nurse.

Bill Daugherty

Bill Daugherty was first elected to the Lennox City Council in 2020, with his first term expiring in 2022. On the City Council, Mr. Daugherty's focus is to improve the quality of life in Lennox, while understanding that fiscal responsibility is key while employing a fact based decision making process to better our community.

Mr. Daugherty is married to Melissa, has 3 wonderful kids, and enjoys the outdoors with friends and family.

Chad Swier

I grew up in Watertown, SD and have lived in Lennox since 2018 with my wife (Nicki) and three children (Gavin, Teagan, & Griffin). I graduated from SDSU with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and currently work at AmesburyTruth as a Director of Product Management.

It has been an honor serving on the City Council since 2021 representing Ward 2. My goal on council is to help drive our town forward to handle controlled growth with reliable infrastructure, a safe place, and amenities to improve our way of life. I come at problems with a data driven approach to make sound decisions that will benefit the community as a whole. I plan on raising my family in Lennox and want to ensure it continues to be a place I am proud to call home.
