All petitions for open seats on the City Council have been submitted, and the following candidates are running for the following seats:
Mayor: No Candidate
Ward 1: Billy Welch
Ward 2: Bill Daugherty
Ward 3: No Candidate
Because there are no challengers, there will be NO ELECTION on April 9, 2024.
At the City Council Meeting on Monday, February 26, the City Council will discuss the process for filling the Ward 3 Seat and Mayor's Seat following the completion of current terms.

This meeting will be an opportunity to ask questions of Lennox staff about any number of issues. Work on the Central Basin 4 Project continued in January and February this year! Crews are currently installing water, sewer, and storm sewer mains underneath the Elm Street railroad crossing. Thank you to Asco, SiteWorks, and Horizontal Boring for their work over the winter months to keep us on schedule!
Congratulations to Kyle Ramynke, Lennox Utilities Superintendent, for being named the Municipal Utilities Manager of the Year by the South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems!

Baseball – 10U/12U Travel Tournament Team tryouts have been set and reserved at C2C South again. One session for each level on Wednesday, April 3rd. Two sessions for each level on Saturday, April 6th.
Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 – 5:30PM – 6:15PM (10U), 6:15PM – 7:00PM (12U)
Saturday, April 6th, 2024 – 1:00PM – 1:45PM (10U), 1:45PM -2:30PM (10U), 2:30PM – 3:15PM (12U), 3:15PM – 4:00PM (12U)

Great news - the City of Lennox has been awarded the 2023 Forestry Grant from the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources! This $5000 grant will help the community restore a number of trees that were lost in the 2021 Lennox tornado and wind storms. Thank you to the SD DANR for their continued support of our community!
