It's that time again, we have our monthly Park Board Meeting coming up again on September 17th at City Hall.

Heads up Lennox! Crews will be working in the western side of town doing preventative maintenance on the sewer systems. This maintenance will improve the sewer’s performance and significantly reduce the chance of future sewer backups and related issues.
The cleaning process creates a vacuum in the sewer. While most homes will not be affected, homes with inadequate or partially blocked drain vents may experience some issues. The vacuum may cause “P-traps” (the S-shaped bend in the pipe under sinks and drains) to be sucked dry. If you notice a sewer smell as a result, simply run some water in your drains to refill the P-traps.
To minimize any inconvenience, it is recommended that you take the following precautions on the scheduled days:
• Shut off the water valve to your toilet(s).
• Put the toilet seat(s) down.
• Cover floor drains with mats to prevent any splashing of P-trap water in poorly vented homes.
Please take these precautions during the following dates: September 15th-19th.

We wanted to highlight a couple of useful features on our newer Diligent Community Software - Diligent's focus is an inclusive experience, accessibility, and transparency for the community. The subscribe and request to speak features are great resources to connect the community to what's going on with our numerous meetings each month.
Together we are building a community that thrives on collaboration, inclusivity, and open communication.

Park Drive is the place to be again September 12th - will local vendors, a variety of food trucks, and classic vintage cars there is surely something for the whole family. This event is free to attend with food and vendor items available to purchase. This is the last Park Drive After 5 Event our Commercial Club has planned for this season. We appreciate them for making this event happen and giving us a fun excuse to go out and enjoy our community's atmosphere.

In case you missed it, we recently celebrated 50 years of our Ambulance and Team! Mayor Fergen read a Mayoral Proclamation at the open house, and the Ambulance squad presented a plaque to retiring paramedic Brenda Sinning to thank her for her 26 years of service to the community. We are lucky to have Alan Perry and his team, thank you all.

Our Community Library is running a Special Promotion good throughout September in celebration of Library Card Sign-Up Month: When you sign up for a library card in September you will receive a coupon for 25% off a drink of your choice from Saddle Up Espresso and at the end of the month Saddle Up Espresso will draw for one lucky winner to receive a $10 gift card from them.
